When it comes to physiotherapy, there’s only one team of experts for Janice to turn to….
After being involved in a car accident last September, she was left suffering from constant back pain, and not being able to sleep as a result.
Visits to the hospital and NHS physiotherapy didn’t help.
And it was only when she started treatment at the Paul Gough Physio Rooms did she see a difference and start the journey to good health, a proper night’s sleep and pain-free mobility.
“I was in pain – very much so,’’ she said. “And I also suffer from stress and anxiety, but coming here… the treatment has actually been good for both my stress and anxiety. I’ve got to say the staff here are brilliant, the tea is absolutely lovely and I’ve even got my own cup! What more can I ask for?”
Well, actually there’s a lot more she could ask for…. That’s why Paul Gough Physio Rooms is well-known and respected across the North-East.
If you are like Janice and suffering from back pain, or have tried hospital physios and don’t feel like you are getting anywhere fast, then please read on…
She added: “I did try the physios at the hospital, which was a waste of time.
“They didn’t get down to where the pain actually was and I had no scans or X-rays on my back. When I started coming here to the Physio Rooms it was touch button and they instantly got to the pain.
“NHS physios don’t get to the point, they gave me a sheet of exercises to do and it didn’t help.”
And as well as the physical benefits of her physiotherapy at our clinic in Raby Road, Hartlepool, there’s other aspects of her life that have improved immeasurably as a result of her treatment.
Janice explained: “I am restricted with what I can do at work. My sleep pattern before I came here was a sham, I was just not sleeping at all. But Paul Gough Physio Rooms have been brilliant on many different fronts.
“The staff, well I really can’t thank them enough while attending sessions here.’’
Pain-free, Janice is now looking forward to getting back to doing what she loves, things she has not been able to do while suffering from back pain.
She smiled: “My aim is to be able to walk my dog, go to Scotland and have a holiday with my husband and my dog.
“When it comes to reaching my goals, Paul has been really good. Well, his staff have been anyway and I’d love to meet him when he is home from America! But while he’s not here the reception staff and the manager are all absolutely fantastic.
“I will get back to where I want to be and doing what I want to do, I have every confidence in the physios here.”
Of course, Janice isn’t the only one to have benefited from our expert care and dedicated, specific treatment, tailored to an individual’s needs. There’s no one-size-fits-all outlook here, each injury is treated individually to secure a positive outcome for everyone.
Janice told of someone she knows who has also greatly benefited from a visit to Paul Gough Physio Rooms: “I was talking to a gentleman who came here before I did and he had the best experience ever and he can now do what his goals were – drive his car, work, lay patios and it’s Paul Gough’s team who got him there.
“Painkillers don’t go to the cause of your problems. Believe me, the NHS is not good for physio, they don’t get to the point of it and they do here. Please don’t sit there dwelling, pick up the phone and phone Paul’s team.”
Does this sound like you, or someone you know?
If it does, we can’t emphasise the importance of seeking out the correct diagnosis and treatment.
We really do sympathise with the Government and the current situation, but with waiting lists on the NHS at record lengths and GP surgeries under increasing pressure, our advice is quite simple:
Don’t allow the backlog caused by pandemic to delay your physiotherapy treatment and let an injury affect you like it did Janice.
It’s no exaggeration to say that what even may seem like a trivial matter, like back pain that you think will go away by itself, can lead to a bigger problem.
If you’re reading this now and feel like you can relate, or if you want to get back to fitness and good health now lockdown measures are eased and to get yourself fit for the summer, we are here for you.
